As Sr. Vice President and General Manager of Nielsen’s Music business, Erin Crawford leads the commercial organization and strategy for the industry’s leading measurement and research services. She has infused innovation into Nielsen’s legacy music sales (SoundScan), streaming and airplay (BDS) measurement product with the launch of Music Connect web and mobile platforms, which also includes artist social metrics. Further, Erin has established Nielsen as a premier source for music fan research and ROI measurement for many brands’ music activations.
Inspired by Music City, Erin relocated her family from Los Angeles to Nashville a year ago.Additionally, Erin is committed to developing diverse leadership talent. She led the Southern California chapter of Nielsen’s Women In Nielsen employee resource group. She passionately mentors young professional women within Nielsen and at-risk teens as part of Step Up Women’s Network’s Luminary Circle.
Erin has served on the host committee of Step Up’s Inspiration Awards (2013, 2014, 2015) and on the board of the Entertainment AIDS Alliance (2009).
Erin has a B.S. in Biopsychology & Cognitive Sciences from the University of Michigan.
